Team Building Traps - Don't Let Bad Attitudes Lapse

Most folks have a positive attitude most of the time. Obviously, right now while the American consumers, citizens and voters are feeling the pain of the mortgage crisis, banking fall-out and the recessionary changes and the tinge of cynicism has increased and spread like the plague throughout our society. However, when building a team, you must focus on the attitudes of the individuals on the team.

One bad attitude is bad enough, but two or three and you have a cancer forming and like a disease it will being to spread throughout the group. Without a good group attitude it's five times more difficult to use the team to motivate the entire group to the next level. Thus, motivation drops to a low-level and the objectives cannot be fulfilled.

If you are leading such a group, one that has to perform where failure is not an option, you must maintain a strong attitude, and if necessary get rid of the poison or negative attitude individual that is disrupting your team and slowing it down, preventing it from winning. Bad attitudes are one of the team building traps and these bad attitudes only get worse if they are allowed to lapse.

Improve the attitude of the team; make sure everyone is in it to win it. Use the team to promote itself, feed off it is own energy and you can accomplish anything; Together Everyone Accomplishes More and isn't that what T-E-A-M stands for? Make your team a winning team concentrate on the attitudes and you will win. Think on this.
