Home Landscaping Design - 5 Methods to Create a Beautiful Flower Garden

Everyone loves flowers because of their splendid display of magnificent colors and in some case fragrance too. Once you have blooming flowering plants around in your home landscaping garden, it becomes a center of attraction for your family as well as gusts. Your garden becomes a favorite place to everyone from kids to grown ups.

Here are five ways to use flowering plats in a home landscaping garden

1) Flower Bed -

This is a type of arrangement of flowering bushes that can run along a pathway on both sides. Medium height bushes are best suited for such arrangement. The flowerbed helps to enhance the beauty of the pathway at the same time gives a visual direction to the entire garden setup

Recommended plants - Cosmos, Portulacca, Safflower

2) Ground Covers -

As the name suggests flowering plants that grow horizontally are best suited for this. This is a great alternative to cover a ground surface where lawn is too expensive and tiled flooring is too harsh visually. Ground covers quickly cover the ground and give an excellent visual harmony.

Recommended plants - Bishop's weed, Wormwood, Serbian bellflower

3) Crawlers -

These types of flowering plants grow vertically along a wall or vertical bamboo supports. A typical example of using these types of flowering plants is where you want to hide certain area visually but allow wind in that area.

4) Container Plants -

These types of flowering plants are very popular for indoor use. Because of their limited growth and expanse they are easy to maintain and add great amount of charisma to the home interiors. Depending upon the interior design theme a wide variety of indoor container flowering plants are available today. Most of these container plants are shade loving.

Recommended plants - Cyclamen, Variegated Vinca, Yellow Marguerite daisy

5) Hanging Pots -

These are similar to the above mentioned container plants, however can be exposed to mild sun. That is why they are widely used in hanging pots along balconies and outdoor patios.

These were just a few ideas to use flowering plants in home landscaping. I am sure you can come up with more ideas by combining these methods and coming up with your own unique design styles.
